City Clerk
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CITY CLERK
The City Clerk is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for administering the legislative affairs of the City. As a charter position of the Legislative Branch of the City government, the City Clerk supports the Mayor and City Council, and other personnel directly involved in the City's management.
Among many and varied duties, the City Clerk's office is responsible for the following:
- Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee, School Support Committee, and the River Watch Task Force, and Centennial Celebration Committee.
- Preparing and distributing the City Council, Municipal Code Enforcement Board agendas and Board of Adjustment agendas.
- Preparing and supplementing the Temple Terrace Code of Ordinances
- Manages Board appointment process for City Council
- Preparing routine ordinances, resolutions, proclamations, and certificates of appreciation
- Maintaining all City records and documents in a central filing system
- Electronically imaging City records in accordance with State law
- Preparing legal advertising and recording documents
- Research for citizens and City staff
- Notary service, including weddings
- Custodian of public records and seal of the City
- Oversees City-wide training regarding records management and research
CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
Temple Terrace City Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at Temple Terrace City Hall, 11250 N. 56th St., Temple Terrace, Florida.
