Meredith Abel was elected to Temple Terrace City Council November 3, 2020 for a four-year term. She has taught high school level Science and Language Arts for 11 years. Ms. Abel currently teaches karate and self-defense to local children and has served on committees to organize and manage internationally-attended martial arts events. She also volunteers weekly for Meals on Wheels
A USF graduate, Ms. Abel received her BA in English and American Literature in 2007. In addition, she holds an AS degree from HCC in Environmental Science Technology. Born and raised in Central Florida, she has lived in Temple Terrace since 2009 and has a daughter who attends a local public school.
