The Patrol Division is supervised by Captain Chris Mills.
The men and women of the Patrol Division are responsible for answering all calls for service in the City of Temple Terrace. They wear many hats to ensure that the citizens of our city receive the superior service the Temple Terrace Police Department has become known for. Our patrol officers are highly trained and the most visible element of the department. In addition to emergency response, patrol officers are also responsible for providing a variety of services ranging from traffic enforcement to non-emergency calls for service. The Patrol Division proudly maintains an average response time of under five minutes for in-progress calls.
The department also offers two K-9 teams available to officers and detectives as needed. K-9 teams fulfill an invaluable role in the department and often assist with narcotics investigations and tracking down fleeing suspects.
The department also offers full-time marine patrol services for the Hillsborough River. Through an agreement with the Sheriff’s Office, our Maine Unit is responsible for marine, fish, and wildlife law enforcement along the Hillsborough River from the 4oth Street bridge in Tampa, all the way north to Nature’s Classroom in Hillsborough County. To speak to our Marine Patrol Officer, please call 813.506.6500.
The Honor Guard represents the agency at funerals, parades, and special events.
