Board of Adjustment

The purpose of the Board of Adjustment is to hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the director of Community Development in the administration and enforcement of the Land Development Code.

Library Board

The Temple Terrace Library Board is a group of community residents appointed by the Temple Terrace City Council to assist the library director with issues related to library operating policy, funding, planning, and public relations.

Municipal Code Enforcement Board

The Municipal Code Enforcement Board hears cases involving violations of the City Code, issues orders for compliance, and has the authority to levy fines, subpoena witnesses, authorize liens, and foreclose on said liens.

River Watch Task Force

The Temple Terrace River Watch Task Force was created to give our city a larger voice in the conservation, protection, and utilization of the Hillsborough River.

School Support Committee

The School Support Committee was established to utilize the knowledge, interest, and insight of citizens to work with the Mayor and City Council, the Hillsborough District schools, parents, and school-based interest groups to enhance the educational environment for Temple Terrace children and the schools they attend.

Strategic Advisory Committee for TTG&CC

The Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC) is not a formal advisory board to the City Council. By agreement with the TTG&CC, City Council appoints two representatives to this committee. The appointees participate in SAC meetings and, when necessary, report back to City Council on SAC and TTG&CC activities.

Bicycle Advisory Committee

The Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) is a seventeen (17) member body that reviews and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners and the three municipalities in Hillsborough County, on a comprehensive bikeway system, and other issues regarding the promotion of cycling and the provision of related safety facilities.

Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Temple Terrace Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee was established to advise the Mayor, City Council and City Administration on matters concerning bicycle and pedestrian activity within Temple Terrace. This advisory committee is charged with making recommendations to the Mayor, City Council and City Administration on matters concerning bicycle and pedestrian activity within Temple Terrace.

Building Board of Adjustment, Appeals & Examiners

This Board confirms the competency and integrity of applicants applying for building certification in the County, and takes disciplinary action against those contractors that fail to comply with the Building Code.

City County Planning Commission

The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission is the local planning agency responsible for long-range planning for governments in Hillsborough County. 

MPO Citizen’s Advisory Committee

This Committee serves at the pleasure of the Metropolitan Planning Organization and is responsible for providing information and overall community values and needs into the transportation planning programs of the MPO.  The Committee also evaluates and proposes solutions from a citizen’s perspective concerning alternative transportation proposals and critical issues.

Electrical Board of Adjustment, Appeals & Examiners

This Board confirms the competency and integrity of applicants applying for electrical certification in the County, and takes disciplinary action against those contractors that fail to comply with the Electrical Code.

Hillsborough River Technical Advisory Council

The Hillsborough River Technical Advisory Council, composed of ten members, was created to give advice and make recommendations to the Hillsborough River Interlocal Planning Board with respect to the development of the coordinated master plan for the Hillsborough River Corridor.  

Historical Advisory Council

This Council's mission is to support and facilitate a uniform historical marker program throughout the County, including the cities of Tampa, Plant City, and Temple Terrace as well as organizations and other agencies who request assistance. It also provides the BOCC with support that complements the goals of historical preservation and education in Hillsborough County.

Marine Law Enforcement Citizen’s Advisory Council

This Board was established to address marine issues and law enforcement issues related to the Hillsborough River.  This is a citizens advisory group that meets with law enforcement. 

Mechanical Board of Adjustments, Appeals, and Examiners

This Board confirms the competency and integrity of applicants applying for mechanical certification in the County, and takes disciplinary action against those contractors that fail to comply with the Mechanical Code.

Plumbing & Gas Board of Adjustment, Appeals & Examiners

This Board governs the certification and/or compliance standards for plumbing and gas contractors doing work in Hillsborough County and enforces adherence to the standards set by the Plumbing and Gas Code.
